The studio has work stations for each artist. We offer premium creative facilities including easels, a printing press (60x110cm bed), two Flash forge 3D printers, an A2 Epson Giclee printer, access to a large kiln, and a heavy duty sewing machine plus small tools etc.
Artists have 24hr access to the studio building attached to the artist house. The studio is a shared space with each artist working at their own station equipped with a desk/bench, shelving, lighting, easel, wall space, power and internet. The studio has AC/heating, hot and cold water, and direct access to the garden, street and private entrance to the house. We also welcome artists that don’t require the use of a studio space.

We also have our “conference” room ideal for writers, small groups, zoom meetings and dust free art forms like digital printing. We keep our large format printers in here.
The following is a list of items currently available to use at EAR.
a printing press (52x100cm bed),
2 x 3D printers,
large format Epson printer, A2.
1 x heavy duty sewing machine,
4 easels.

Kiln access
Please note – the kiln is not located on site at the artist residency.
Edenhope College has a kiln that EAR artists may utilise for a small firing fee.
Works are put in the kiln accompanied by school staff only. The kiln is a large Tetlow brand electric
kiln with a Harco computer. Special run programmes may be created as required.
As the kiln is on school property, firings are completed on the schools schedule. Artists will be
able to drop their work off and or load the kiln upon arrangement with school staff. A staff member must be present. It is a legal requirement that all visitors to the school must have a working with children check even if you are not around the students. Unfortunately international or interstate equivalent checks are not able to be used. You can apply for a Victorian WWCC for free here.
*The staff member at the school that organises kiln access is me, your host at EAR, so organising kiln access is pretty easy!
Using the Inkjet Printers & 3D printers
3D printers: You will have to supply your own filament if working on larger projects
(but you probably want to anyway). Otherwise, a one of $30 fee will apply for artists wishing
to print only one or a few small things.
Training will be provided on how to use the 3D printer if you have no prior experience.
We have two 3D printers:
