Julia Faragher

Julia Faragher, supported by the Grace Marion Wilson Trust Fund as part of the Edenhope Artist Residency, spent two productive weeks developing her young adult novel Girls on the Mark. During her stay, she reshaped the story from a novelette into a full novel, drafted 15,000 new words, and undertook research into women’s football, including viewing key documentaries on the subject. She also read widely, progressed several smaller projects, and even discovered a long-sought copy of The Listmaker by Robin Klein in the local op shop. Julia’s residency also included access to Writers Victoria workshops and the opportunity to collaborate with the organisation on a future workshop or seminar.
