Martin’s work explores the history and mythology of Australian bushrangers—particularly Captain Moonlite—through staged photographic vignettes that examine sexuality, masculinity, and their relationship to the Wimmera landscape.

Martin is in residence at EAR for the month of August and says “week one has been about settling in – reflecting on past projects, and considering their possible offshoots or conclusions. It’s also been a chance to explore the potential of ideas that have been quietly simmering in the back of my mind for some time. Having the time to focus solely on my practice feels like a rare privilege, and I’m excited to see where this leads!”
