In order to test out the new studio space, this workshop will be run as a private event. To book your place on the guest list please click the “Book Here” button. A $20 per person donation to cover materials is preferred. Refreshments will be provided. We are excited to welcome internationally exhibited artist Lauren Guymer as our guest host for this amazing painting and drawing workshop. Lauren is a skilled painter known for her large format watercolour landscape paintings, murals and finely detailed drawings.

Designed for all skill levels from beginner to advanced, Lauren will demonstrate her techniques in both drawing and watercolour painting and you will take home your own finished watercolour painting.

We are lucky to get Lauren to teach this workshop here in Edenhope just before she moves overseas to live in Finland! Lauren is an Australian visual artist who creates immersive landscape paintings and drawings on paper, specialising in large-scale watercolours inspired by her memories and experiences of the Australian landscape.

She has been a finalist in prize shows, including the 2023 Australian Watercolour Muster Biennale (Online), 2022 Paddington Art Prize, and 2020 & 2019 SBS Landscape Prize. Lauren’s practice has been furthered by opportunities to participate in artist residency programs in Australia and overseas including Finland and Iceland. Her work is held in collections at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery and the Southern Midlands Collection in Tasmania.
