Laura Roberton is an emerging multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the relationship between architecture, landscape and the natural world. Having recently completed studies in Fine Art and Architecture, Laura developed works combining botanical forms and geometric structures, drawing inspiration from the patterns, textures and rhythms found in nature. Her process often began with collecting and documenting leaves, flowers and other organic materials, which were transformed through sculpture, casting and painting into works that captured fleeting moments in the landscape.
During her time at Edenhope Artist Residency as the 2026 recipient of the Five Sisters Residency, Laura developed a new body of work using botanical relief sculpture, plaster casting, watercolour and experimental resin techniques. The residency marked her first dedicated residency experience and provided the opportunity to focus on and reconnect with her developing art practice.
